What's included
Our data set isn't 100% complete. Some schools and seasons aren't included yet, so a program missing from your results doesn't mean it has no players from your area.
Next Level Pipeline is built from public college baseball roster pages, compiled into anonymous player histories (no player names). Counts are minimums: a missing school, season or player means we couldn't use or find it, not that it doesn't exist.
Schools whose own rosters we don't have
For some schools we don't have their own rosters. A player from one of those schools can still appear when a later roster at another school lists it as his previous college. That is a retrospective link: it shows some players who moved on, not the school's roster. For these schools we show general information only (level, location, cost, academics), marked "Roster history not available", with no roster-based numbers, ratings or rankings.
Junior colleges
JUCO data here is a stepping-stone view, not a full picture. When a JUCO player moves on to a four-year program (D1, D2, D3 or NAIA), we capture it: the JUCO gets credit for sending him up, and his home county gets credit for producing a JUCO player. What we can't see is JUCO players who never move beyond junior college, because many JUCO rosters can't be used under our sourcing rules. So county JUCO counts mostly reflect players who went on to four-year schools, not every player who played JUCO.
This is not a blanket exclusion of junior colleges: many JUCOs have their own roster coverage.
What's included changes as our data is updated.
